Zavier Breedlove (he/they) is originally from Dallas, Georgia and is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Music at the University of West Georgia. Zavier loves composing, performing Saxophone, and educating students at various high schools. As a lover of music, Zavier wants to inspire others through the beauty of music and be a voice for underrepresented musicians. 

 

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Katahj and Zavier met; as Zavier learned more about Katahj and grew to know him personally, he claimed the composer to be his mentor. In 2021, Katahj asked Zavier to join the team as his assistant for the chance to observe him at his most musical and further his composition knowledge. 

 

Zavier’s favorite composers are Julie Giroux, Igor Stravinsky, and Michael Markowski. He enjoys painting in his free time and lives by the quote: “being bad at something is the first step to being kinda good at something”.
